The government has announced that households in England living in properties in Council Tax bands A to D will receive a £100 energy payment to support with energy bills this winter.

Elmbridge Borough Council is currently awaiting further information from the government about how the scheme will operate and will provide more details to residents as soon as full information is available.

If you are unsure which Council Tax band your home falls under, you can find this information in the top section of your council tax bill next to ‘Property Band’. Alternatively, you can check online at Check your Council Tax band – GOV.UK.
