Following the success of previous free swimming initiatives during school holidays, Elmbridge Borough Council is pleased to announce that free swimming sessions at Xcel Leisure will return for the October half-term.
Children who are eligible for free school meals can access free swim and family fun sessions from Monday 19 to Sunday 30 October 2026.
To enrol, parents or guardians must present the original email confirmation of entitlement along with proof of eligibility (the free school meals letter) to staff at the main reception.
It is important to note that all children under 8 years old must be accompanied in the water by a supervising adult, who will need to pay the full price for their entry.
Participants will also receive a free pair of goggles while stocks last.
Visitors should be aware that sessions may be busy during peak times and have a maximum capacity. To avoid disappointment, it is recommended to check availability in advance via the Places Leisure website, app, or by calling the centre on 01932 260300.
